I had the honor to go to Mexico and participate in the jury for the 2009 Andy Awards. One week of judging at an amazing place together with some of the best creative minds in the advertising business.

The 2009 Grandy was awarded to BBH New York (with the swedish Sjönell brothers) for their integrated campaign to launch the new Oasis album "Dig out you soul".

I was happy to see a gold medal awarded to our friends at Perfect Fool for their work with BBH London for Mentos - Mentos Kisscam.

GE - Smart Grid - Augmented Reality

We worked for Goodby, Silverstein & Partners on a project for their client GE. We developed an online augmented reality project. Not anything like the Japanese but it is in flash and available for lots of people to play around with. Mikael Emtinger is one of the wizards behind the adaption of the code. This video shows how the thing works..

Norway - a beautiful country filled with monsters

This summer we went to Norway for a conference. It is a beautiful country but little had we expected to encounter such monsters as we did. So... beware of Norway!

We have managed to recreate some of the video footage as proof of the existence of terrible creatures...

I was speaking at the Click Conference in London last week. A great starting line with speakers and for me the highlight was to hear directly from Koichiro Tanaka, Projector how the Uniqlock project came to life.

Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality has suddenly appeared next to Iphone application as a popular buzzword.

If ARG (Alternative Reality Games) were the most interesting front of digital in 2007/2008 I believe the development of Augmented Reality will be the thing to keep your eyes on during next year.

Street view is already changing the way we navigate in the cities but it will be fun to see what we will be able to do that involves our Rules of Engagement: Entertaining, Useful & Social.

Speaking in Warsaw and Krakow

I spent last week in Poland speaking at two events in Warsaw and Krakow. In Warsaw it was a marketing event called Forum IAB and I only had 30 minutes to speak. In Krakow the audience were creatives from the region and we had a session for 3,5 hours.

Krakow is a beautiful city and Warsaw is not!

Still can't understand that the guys in the office actually built a multitouch screen using only cardboard, a white paper and a webcam... I have some cool ideas for a nice Iphone app, we just need to have some funding to make it happen.

The Future is here

It's kind of funny to see the ideas we developed and talked about in the Vodafone Future Vision already to be on the market. We made that project back in 2003 and the ideas and technologies presented was supposed to be 10-15 years away. Now it is 2008 and it's already more than a vision...

Rain Deer Man

Spent the saturday in Tåmeträsk, a small village outside Skellefteå, picking Karl Johan-mushrooms. Beautiful first days of the autumn.

In the evening we had a nice dinner together. We prepared some great grilled meat together with a unhealthy but incredibly delicious creamsauce made out of the Karl Johan-mushrooms we picked.

Afterwards I smoked a pipe of swedish blend out on the porch and the Rain Deer Man honored us with a visit. According to tradition we served him a glass of homemade vodka and after enjoying it loudly he went away. I have never taken the risk to see what happens if you don't give him the vodka...

Speaking at APMT4 in Tokyo

Back in Sweden and back to my paternity leave after one amazing week in Tokyo. Been 4 years since last time and everything is as fantastic as I remember it.

Apmt4 was successful although it was difficult to speak with a translator. Many thanks to Yosuke and his team for a great event!

It was really fun to see Akihito Abe and his team again. We had a great dinner the first night at a classical Teppanyaki/Okonomiyaki place in Love Hotel Hills.

I was also lucky to experience an exclusive sushi-dinner for the second time in my life. The high I get from that kind of food is difficult to explain... but it is better than any drug I ever tried. Drugs are nothing compared to that feeling.
